Traitor Watch

So, we now know that Gary Holt's reaction to the departure of his father, sorry manager, Paul Lambert was to strop one out and say "I'm not going to down tools, that would be unprofessional but whether you want an unhappy Gary Holt about the place is another matter."

This is all very reminiscent of two years ago when another ageing ex-Premier League midfielder, Rob Lee, left the club, commenting that "I play for John Gorman, not Wycombe Wanderers".

So who is the biggest jumped-up traitorous ballbag? SMBU investigates.

Performance
Holt started slowly but by the end of the season was one of the team's key players, running the midfield like a mid-sized Tescos. Traitor rating: 3

Lee was outrun by old men shuffling to the post office but he could still pass well. Shame they all went sideways. 38 appearances, no goals. Well done. Traitor rating: 7

Hair
A lower league team lives or dies by its haircuts and both these men had issues. Holt has a matted head of ginger which he shaved off when Neil Lennon arrived as Wycombe would have been fined by the FA for having two Spuggys in the team. Traitor rating: 6

Rob Lee's hair was well cut but the huge flecks of grey gave him the appearance of a cruel priest. Traitor rating: 7

Arrogance
Holt lapsed into talking about himself in the third-person after Lambert departed, clearly thinking that anyone gave a flying fuck how he felt when his spiritual leader left the club. Traitor rating: 8

Lee has tried to develop a media career since leaving Wycombe but his nasal voice and flecked hair mean that even the dingiest of satellite channels are reluctant to hire the man known to the British public as "Alan Shearer's friend". Traitor rating: 9

Final Scores
Holt: 17
Lee: 23

Gary Holt is clearly a grumpy man with ideas above his station but his comments pale into insignificance when compared with the uber-betrayer, Rob Lee. Angry songs are still sung about Lee in High Wycombe drinking dens even now and it is fair to say that even if he went back in a time machine and altered history, he would still not be forgiven.

Only miserable defender Chris 'Fan-Hater' Vinnicombe can rival Lee for pure betrayal. Gary Holt has a year left on his contract and must win back the fans by apologising or being sealed forever inside the West Wycombe caves if he is to avoid joining this pair of detestable rogues.
